After payment, you send us your text, your photographs and your logo. We put them in, we go through the site with you, and it goes live on your own domain five working days later. There is no tool for you to learn.
A website that meets your bar's rules
Your bar's rules are about what the website says, not about how it was built. Every design therefore comes with:
- the wording required by article 10.2 of the French RIN: your identity, your bar, your practice structure and your network if you have one;
- a domain name carrying your name or the firm's, as article 10.5 requires;
- no client review widget, which professional secrecy does not allow;
- no mention of a speciality without the matching certificate;
- no third party advertising.
In Belgium, the wording follows the AVOCATS.BE code of conduct (company number, professional titles, no identification of clients). In Luxembourg, it follows the Bar's internal rules (objective information, no generic domain name). Declaring your website to your bar is still yours to do; we send you everything you need for it on the day the site goes live.

A bespoke website starts at €3,500 excl. VAT with us, because everything has to be drawn: the structure, the pages, the components, the testing. In the Studio, that work is already done, on 28 designs. What is left is fitting it to your firm and putting your content in. That is the whole difference, and that is why there is no discount to wait for.

The website is yours, and so is the domain
The domain name is registered in your name. The text, the photographs and the website belong to you. With the self-managed website, the hosting is yours. With the managed website, it sits with us for as long as you want it to, and you can leave whenever you like: you give us access to your new hosting and we move the website there. No option is compulsory.

Common questions
How much does a law firm website cost with BLACKT Studio?
The managed website costs €99 excl. VAT a month for 12 months, or €990 excl. VAT in one go. The self-managed WordPress website costs €190 excl. VAT a month for 12 months, or €1,900 excl. VAT in one go. Both include up to 10 pages, your content put in, the design matched to your identity, basic technical SEO and going live. After the first year, you only pay for the options you have chosen.
Is this a subscription?
No. The website is a purchase. The monthly payment stops at the twelfth month. Maintenance and visibility are separate options that you can take or stop.
Does a website built from a design meet the rules of professional conduct?
Yes. The rules are about the content, not about how the site was made. Every design carries the wording required by article 10.2 of the French RIN (identity, bar, practice structure) and respects article 10.5 on domain names. In Belgium and Luxembourg, the wording follows the AVOCATS.BE code and the Luxembourg Bar's internal rules. Declaring the website to your bar remains yours to do; we give you the information you need.
Can I choose any domain name?
No. In France, the domain name has to carry your name or the firm's, together with the word « avocat », and generic names are not allowed (RIN art. 10.5). We check the domain name with you before the site goes live.
Who owns the website and the domain name?
You do. The domain name is registered in your name. The text, the photographs and the website belong to you. If you stop the maintenance of a managed website, you give us access to your new hosting and we move the website there.
Will my website look like another firm's?
Another firm may start from the same design as you: on screen, nobody will see it. You choose from 28 designs, then your name, your logo, your colours, your typefaces, light or dark mode and your photographs replace the ones in the mock-up. What stays the same is the structure: a page for each practice area, the lawyer profiles, the contact details, the legal notices, which is what a client expects from a law firm website. And the catalogue rotates: every month, designs are retired and replaced.
How long until the website is online?
Five working days after we receive your text, photographs and logo, review included. The date is set with you during a 30 minute kick-off call.
What do I have to provide?
Your text (introduction, practice areas, team, fees if you wish), your photographs, your logo and your contact details. If you have no logo, we set your name in the typeface of the design.
Managed or self-managed website?
Managed if you would rather not administer anything: your changes go through us. Self-managed on WordPress if you want to edit your own text and images.
Will the website rank on Google?
The website comes with basic technical SEO (structure, speed, tags, structured data) and is indexable as soon as it goes live. Where it then ranks depends on your content and your local competition; the ongoing visibility option (€117 excl. VAT a month, three month minimum) covers the monitoring and the optimisation work. We promise no position.
